Detailed breakdown of your journey
Shimla → Kalpa / Sangla
Your winter expedition begins early morning from Shimla, where you meet the Clip on Trip team and fellow travelers. After a short safety briefing and introduction to winter driving protocols, we start our scenic journey towards Kinnaur Valley.
Drive along the Sutlej River, passing through Rampur and snow-dusted mountain roads. As the altitude increases, the landscape dramatically changes—deep valleys, frozen patches, and towering Himalayan peaks.
By evening, arrive in Kalpa or Sangla, surrounded by stunning views of the Kinner Kailash range. Check in, freshen up, and enjoy a warm dinner before resting for the night.
Highlight: First snow views, Himalayan sunset, peaceful mountain village stay.
